American Modern recently awarded a $20,000, one-of-a-kind, 2008 custom Spitfire motorcycle to a Texas coed who is engaged to a custom bike enthusiast. Talk about a perfect match!

Cortney Killion of Lubbock, TX was one of more than 374,000 entrants in a drawing that was co-sponsored by Thunder Mountain Custom Cycles of Fort Collins, Colorado. Cortney, a senior majoring in biology at Lubbock Christian University, said she will present the cycle as an early wedding gift to her fiancé. 

The goal of the sweepstakes was to draw attention to our role as a leading specialty insurer of motorcycles and ATVs. And the results were good, according to Bob Feinen, American Modern Sales Vice President.

“We’re pleased to give this unique bike to Cortney,” Feinen said.  “We are also very happy that so many motorcycle enthusiasts participated in this contest.  Though the bike has no ‘real’ odometer miles on it, we feel that we were able to get a whole lot of mileage out of it in terms of brand name awareness in the motorcycle community.”
